Born and raised on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Sarah was discovered at the age of 4 by an agent in an uptown restaurant. Two weeks later, she auditioned and won the part in a TV movie starring Jeff Daniels.
Not long after that, she appeared in a controversial Burger King commercial, in which her character criticized McDonald’s—which led to a lawsuit, appearances in court, and vaguely menacing threats from the Hamburglar. As a teenager, Sarah picked up work on the unapologetically gay-sounding Swans Crossing (Brittany Daniel) and as Susan Lucci’s long-lost daughter on All My Children. In 1997, at the age of 20, Sarah landed the title role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which would eat up the better part of seven years and earn her the sort of international fame that Kristy Swanson could only dream about. During her time away from the show, Sarah filmed movies like Cruel Intentions, Simply Irresistible, Harvard Man, Scooby-Doo and I Know What You Did Last Summer.Tags : female celebrity tattoo
